Young Statisticians Networking [Continued]

I've just posted my thoughts and ideas regarding mentor experience for young statisticians. I appreciate the immediate feedback, and feel I might need to clarify my focus. I'm not looking to pursue a mentor program (or better the program I created).

I'm using the example I tried for GVSU as a 'jumping board'. I would love to see more collaboration across young professionals in statistics, and hope for further ideas for possible conferences, groups, clubs, or other networking experiences that might promote the 'mentor program' feel; but for young professionals seeking experience, advice, and job placement.
