Dear Colleagues,
I am seeking your help in spreading the word about a relatively new and fast-growing section of ASA, Statistics in Imaging Section (SIS), to your department, faculty and student community. As image data becomes more prevalent in our scientific and social endeavors, its analysis becomes both an opportunity and a challenge for the statistics community. SIS section is devoted to advancement of theory, computation and application of statistical techniques to image/video data. Please join this effort and encourage others to do so. This is an opportune moment in time to learn and grow. We welcome a broad and active participation from statistical scientists with diverse backgrounds.
