Taking advantage of senior Department of Defense (DoD) officials attending the 2015 Joint Statistical Meetings, the ASA Section on Defense and National Security (SDNS) has organized a leadership dialogue entitled, "Advancing Statistics in the Department of Defense: Leadership Dialogue," to take place Tuesday, August 11 from 2:00 PM – 3:50 PM in TCC-102. The dialogue features
- Dr. Nancy Spruill, Director, Acquisition Resources and Analysis
- Dr. Catherine Warner, Science Advisor to Director of Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E)
Opening remarks from Spruill and Warner will be followed by an open dialogue on how improved statistical methods can benefit the DoD. Areas of recent improvement will be highlighted as well as opportunities for increased statistical engagement.
