It's time for the first AMA of the 2017-2018 academic year! Regina Nuzzo will join us in the Young Professionals discussion group at 3 pm on Tuesday, September 26.

As a statistician and science writer, Nuzzo has written for publications ranging from Nature to the New York Times to Reader's Digest. She won the ASA's 2014 Excellence in Statistical Reporting Award (ESRA) (you can read her interview with Amstat News upon winning the ESRA here: http://magazine.amstat.org/blog/2015/06/01/2014-esra-winner-talks-statistics-journalism-and-p-values/), and facilitated the working group that created the ASA Statement on P-Values and Statistical Significance. She also serves on the committee for the ASA Symposium on Statistical Inference (SSI), an event planned to continue the discussions that followed release of the Statement on P-Values.

When: Tuesday, September 26, 3 pm EST

Where: The Young Professionals discussion group

At the start of the AMA, Nuzzo will make her introduction post. To ask a question, just respond to her post! (Questions will be moderated; remember to check our our Code of Conduct before submitting a question.)

Alternatively, submit your question ahead of time using our Contact Us form at http://community.amstat.org/contactus.

I'm looking forward to seeing questions from both our veteran AMA participants and newcomers! If you have any questions about the AMA, just shoot me an email.
