Registration and abstract submission are now open for The 23rd Annual Conference of The International Environmetrics Society (TIES) which will take place in Anchorage, Alaska, USA June 10-14, 2013 at the Hilton Hotel in downtown Anchorage. The conference is jointly sponsored by TIES and the Alaska Chapter of the American Statistical Association. The theme of the meeting is Quantitative Methods, Applications, and Issues in Natural Resources: assessment, regulation, development, use and conservation.

TIES meetings are wonderful opportunities to meet with environmetricians from around the world. The meetings are modest size, so there is ample opportunity to interact during the talks, the breaks, and the social program. An exceptional program of invited talks is coming together. The short course on Statistical Methods for Estimating Abundance of Natural Resources will be taught by internationally known statisticians. The conference venue is downtown Anchorage, and so is close to many attractions. A block of rooms at the Hilton has been set aside for conference attendees. Please reserve your room early as Anchorage is a popular tourist destination in the summer months. You will be sure to find many fun and interesting activities at TIES2013, no matter what your interests are and whether your home is in industry, government, or academia.
