CDCs National Center for Health Statistics, Division of Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys is seeking a highly motivated and capable individual to serve as an expert adviser on analytical and methodological issues and concerns related to complex health examination surveys, in particular the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). The objective of NHANES is to assess the health and nutritional status of adults and children in the United States. NHANES collects household interview, physical examination, and laboratory data on a number of health measures, including cardiovascular health, diabetes, respiratory health, nutritional status, environmental health, oral health, and much more.

Survey statisticians with substantial experience in novel sample design, survey methods analysis, statistical disclosure limitation and confidentiality, handling missing data, analysis and reporting of data from complex health surveys, small-area estimation and independent research in current or emerging statistical areas are encouraged to apply. Experience in using SAS, STATA, SUDAAN, R, or other statistical software for complex data is required.
