Our first regular chapter meeting for the year 2012 will be held at St John Fisher College, on February 29, 2012. We expect to kick off at 6:00pm and go for an hour and a half or possibly two hours depending on the extent of participations. All the officers thought it would be a good idea to have a Brown Bag meeting this time around. You are therefore strongly encouraged to submit a title and an abstract of an interesting statistical topic that you would like to present during the meeting.
We will allocate a maximum of 15 minutes to each presenter. You are therefore strongly encouraged to send us your topic very soon to help us determine how many will be presenting. Please send your abstract and title to either Dr Bruce Blaine and or Dr Ernest Fokoue. Since we intend to encourage Student Members to attend, it would be great to have nice talks on applied statistics in the real world, especially featuring state of the art applications.
Please be sure to indicate your intention to attend at least 4 days before the meeting to help us plan accordingly for refreshments and other logistic aspects of the meeting.
