    The Washington Statistical Society (WSS) is hosting a short course on "Elements of Large-Sample Techniques Useful for Survey Statistics." 

    The instructor is Dr. Jiming Jiang, a Professor of Statistics and former Director of the Statistical Laboratory at the University of California, Davis. He is a prominent researcher in the fields of mixed effects models, small area estimation, model selection, and statistical genetics.  

    The short course will be held virtually on Dec 1st, 2nd, 5thand 6th from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM EST each day. Registration is limited to 40 persons with the cost of registration being $25 for Full-time Students, $50 for current WSS members, and $100 for non-members.
