Information Session for Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Biostatistics Graduate Programs
Come discover the Biostatistics graduate programs (MS and PhD) offered at VCU. Join members of the Admissions Committee for an online information session on Friday, November 10th at 10:00 am (EST) to learn about our graduate training program, how to apply, student life, and where recent graduates of our program have found employment.
Biostatistics is the branch of Statistics that deals with statistical methods and methodology for health data. Along with courses in mathematical statistics and statistical inference, students gain experience in applied areas such as statistical methods for epidemiology, generalized linear models, survival analysis, longitudinal data, and clinical trials among others. Our training programs emphasizes statistical consulting, effective oral and written communication, collaborative research, as well as novel methodological development inspired by complex problems in health research.
We are currently accepting applications to the MS and PhD Programs in Biostatistics at VCU. The priority deadline for the PhD program is December 1st, 2023 for Fall 2024 admissions and MS applications are accepted through May 15th, 2024 for Fall 2024 admissions.
