    Title: From Agriculture to AI: Design of Experiments is Everywhere

    Speaker: Dr. Abby Nachtsheim at Los Alamos National Lab

    Abstract: This talk explores the relevance of Design of Experiments (DoE) in the modern world; from food security to training AI algorithms, DoE is everywhere. In this talk I will provide applications of DoE at the cutting edge of national security science.

    Bio: Dr. Abby Nachtsheim is a statistician and Deputy Group Leader of the Statistics Group at Los Alamos National Laboratory. She joined the Laboratory after receiving her Ph.D. in Statistics at Arizona State University. Her research interests focus on the design and analysis of experiments and solving industrial and national security problems with statistics.
