The
Summer Institute in Biostatistics (SIBS), sponsored by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (
NHLBI), is a 6-week summer program to give undergraduate students majoring in or with background in the quantitative sciences the opportunity to explore a career in biostatistics.
The
NCSU-Duke SIBS program is now accepting applications.
Apply Online by March 10, 2023. Our program has been offered (almost) every year since the Summer of 2004. Each year the program was a great success, with over 65% of eligible participants going on to graduate school in the field!
The SIBS program will be held in person from
June 11 to July 21, 2023. Undergraduate students (including students who will have graduated in Spring 2023) and beginning graduate students who are US citizens or US Permanent Residents are eligible. For more details about the program, eligibility and financial support, please visit the
