Dear ASA members,
A group of former colleagues of Doug Zahn propose to offer an award (in the form of a small grant) that will honor his memory. The proposed name of this award is the Douglas A. Zahn Grant for Advancing Interpersonal Excellence.
When developing any award or honor that will be named after an individual, the ASA conducts a due diligence review to ensure that such naming is appropriate. The purpose of this note is to ask that you respond to me (ron@amstat.org) if you are aware of any reason why naming an award in honor of Dr. Zahn would be inappropriate. The ASA is not aware of any such reason and doesn't expect there to be any, but we wanted to check in with our members.
Thank you.
Ron
