Happy Monday!
We are seeking proposals for the Research Satellite to be held on Wednesday evening, July 16, 2025 and Thursday morning, July 17, 2025, before the start of the USCOTS 2025 conference. This satellite is an event to share and promote statistics and data science education research (at any stage) and connect with others interested in learning about work being done in the field.
The program will feature a plenary presentation, a poster session, and contributed presentations on research related to the teaching, learning, and assessment of statistics or data science. All who are interested in engaging and connecting with others about research in statistics and data science education--and its connection to practice--are welcome to attend!
We are seeking proposals for the poster session and for the contributed presentation session. For more information on satellite event and for the proposal submission links, see
https://www.causeweb.org/cause/uscots/uscots25/research
Note that the deadline for the proposals is January 27, 2025.
Lodging and transportation options for USCOTS will also be extended to Satellite participants.
Please address questions to the satellite event organizers, Jenny Green (jg@msu.edu) and Laura Le (free0312@umn.edu), or to CAUSE director Matt Beckman (mdb268@psu.edu).
