The Juarez Lincoln Marti (JLM) Int'l Ed. Project (https://web.cortland.edu/matresearch/) presented a Webinar (In Spanish) on Thursday, July 31, at 1 pm, on Statistical and Industrial Engineering Methods to Help Mitigate the negative effects of Droughts and Floods, based on the tutorial (PDF) A Tutorial on Quality Engineering Methods to Mitigate Yearly Drought and Flood Cycles in Tropical Climates
This first Webinar developed a Six Sigma DMAIC approach to fixing a system that is not working satisfactorily. By request from JLM Project members, a second Webinar (In Spanish) on the same subject and tutorial, will be offered on Thursday, September 11, at 1 pm. This second one will deal with Designing a system that does not exist, using Six Sigma DFSS (Design for Six Sigma). In addition to the JLM Project members, several faculty and students from the university at Cartagena, Colombia have requested to also attend. If someone you know is interested in participating, contact me, or the JLM Project.
This is an effort to reach out to our Latin American statistics colleagues.
Keep safe/jorge.
