    Paul Elbers, an intensivist, led the Amsterdam University Medical Center's effort to create an open dataset of critically ill patients. Paul covers not only a clinician's priorities in a creating a database, but also the most promising areas where data science and machine learning can provide meaningful benefits to clinical inference.
