On November 8th, the White House's Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) are co-hosting a public forum for members of the public to provide feedback on the emerging federal data strategy. Specifically, OMB and BPC are seeking input on a set of "draft practices" that are intended to guide federal agencies' data management for the next five to ten years. Many of the practices have implications for uses of government's statistical data.
We specifically invite those in the ASA community based in the Washington, DC-area to participate as speakers at the forum. Details about the event and the data strategy are available here. For those outside the beltway, written comments are also welcome.
Note a separate opportunity is available for federal government employees who wish to provide suggestions directly to OMB in their official capacity.
