The talks are virtual and open to all via Zoom and YouTube Live streaming.

Seminar Announcement: Distinguished Theme Seminar Series at Purdue Statistics
Purdue Statistics is proud to announce the inaugural Distinguished Theme Seminar Series! The idea is to introduce a timely and important research topic each year to the statistical audience via both introductory overview and in-depth research talks from leading researchers. All are welcome! This year, our theme is "Deep Learning Methods and Theory" and the speakers are:
Lawrence Carin (Duke, Aug 28@3:30pm EDT),
Heng Huang (Pittsburg, Sept 4@10:30am EDT),
Ying Nian Wu (UCLA, Sept 11@10:30am EDT) and
Ruslan Salakhutdinov (Carnegie Mellon, Sept 18@10:30am EDT).
We are able to take advantage of the online platform this year to broadcast these talks live via both Zoom meetings.
