The National Science Foundation (NSF) invites you to an informal "town hall" meet and greet to engage in a conversation about research, education, and training in Statistics and Data Science.
Juan Meza, Division Director, Division of Mathematical Sciences (DMS), Program Officers representing the Statistics and CDS&E programs within DMS, the NSF-wide CAREER and BIGDATA programs, and the Methodology, Measurement, and Statistics Program will be available to discuss NSF priorities, joint initiatives with other agencies, and new funding opportunities.
NSF Program Officers are also interested in hearing about:
- Efforts by the statistical community to engage other disciplines, whether quantitative, computational, or the domain sciences,
- Effective methods for communicating the value of Statistics as a discipline that supports all scientific domains,
- Innovative education and training activities at the undergraduate and graduate levels,
- Efforts to increase diversity and broaden participation, and
- New ideas related to these topics.
Program Officers and Staff will also be available at the NSF booth. We look forward to seeing you!
