The Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Outreach Group was established by the ASA Board of Directors in August 2020. This has been a very successful inaugural year, in large part due to Dr. Kimberly Sellers leadership. The JEDI Outreach Group is seeking nominations for one of the 2022 open positions: chair-elect (3-year term), program-chair (1-year term), program chair-elect (2-year term), and secretary/treasurer (1-year term). Kim Sellers will serve their term as chair in 2022. Individuals can self-nominate or nominate others for these positions at http://datascijedi.org/.
There will be a JEDI Outreach Group student forum held on September 23rd at 4pm ET (see attached flyer). We hope that students will come and share ideas for creating JEDI spaces and challenges and opportunities that exist in their current environments. All are welcome!
