Does anyone know if there is a study, reference or analysis about the recommendable number of COVID 19 tests upon the number of cases detected as positives?
Or, how do we can decide how many tests should we do when each positive case is detected?
Or, when a positive case is detected we just test the hypothetically suspicious contacts of the victim?
Or, how to decide the quantity of reactives we should supply to the hospital system?

The best collection of research on COVID-19 I've seen is the Oxford COVID-19 Evidence Service at
https://www.cebm.net/oxford-covid-19-evidence-service/.  I recently looked at what they had about about test sensitivity and specificity.  It was not encouraging.

The problem with the diagnostic tests (or at least the RT-PCR test that was used in China) has more to do with false negatives than false positives. I have a manuscript under review about this issue that you might find interesting. It is available as a preprint here: https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.04.24.20078949v1
