The College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA) at the University of Michigan launched the LSA Collegiate Fellows program in 2016 as a major college initiative aimed at promoting an inclusive scholarly environment, recruiting and retaining exceptional early career scholars, and supporting outstanding scholars who are committed to building a diverse intellectual community. Department of Statistics at University of Michigan encourages eligible candidates to apply for Collegiate Fellows this year. The application process opens July 31 and ends October 1, 2018.

If you are graduating (from a PhD program) in 2019 or a recent graduate, and you would like to stay in a two-year residential fellowship before pursuing a tenure-track faculty position at the University of Michigan, this might be of interest to you. The program seeks early career scholars whose research, and/or teaching, and/or service will contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education. The program is particularly interested in scholars with a demonstrated interest in bringing to their teaching/mentoring or research the critical perspectives that come from nontraditional educational backgrounds and pathways, and/or scholarly understanding of the experiences of groups who are historically underrepresented or marginalized in higher education.
