Summary of a Year of Stat Modeling Covid-19 problems
Last April, I proposed to the ASA through Dr. Wasserman, to organize a group of retired academics and researchers to volunteer with the Covid-19 effort. Shortly after, I hanged a proposal in ResearchGate, and started writing tutorials and statistical models, to illustrate the contributions of stats to Covid-19. I published many of these models in ResearchGate, and also in this ASA Forum. The entire series is in:

The material was well-received, per the statistics (hits, institutions of readers) reported by ResearchGate and LinkedIn:

If this semi-retired academic and researcher was able to reach so many, much more would be possible with better known colleagues! I encourage you to contribute, as there is still much work to do.
Statistics is a powerful tool, especially in the current circumstances. Providing examples of its use may encourage researchers and practitioners from other specialties to include it in their work, and to invite more statisticians to collaborate. Tutorials will also help educate our leaders and the public in general.
Have a Happy and Safe New Year 2021. Thanks/Jorge.
