The Department of Statistics, in collaboration with the Department of Mathematics, at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign is beginning a new summer research program to honor the late great mathematical statistician, Dr. David H. Blackwell, called the David H. Blackwell Summer Scholars Program.
We are excitedly reaching out to you to find prospective students interested in learning more about statistics, data science, and mathematics in a paid intensive six-week program - beginning May 24, 2021, and ending July 2, 2021. The initial program is taking place remotely via online sessions and seminars with faculty, graduate students, and affiliate campus units.

We ask that you share this information with any rising juniors and seniors in the mathematical sciences and that these students apply here choose.illinois.edu/apply/.
