Indiana University Simon Cancer Center (IUSCC) and the Regenstrief Institute are searching for a senior data scientist or informatician to serve as Director of the Cancer Informatics and Data Sciences program.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the leadership of IUSCC, Regenstrief Institute, and the Data Science and Informatics (DSI) program of Precision Health Initiative (PHI) to develop a strategy for team science and translation into healthcare practice
- Enhance the collection, analysis, and integration of rich and complex clinical, genomic, and population level data set
- Lead efforts to establish a model of team science with intra-and inter-institutional shared resources and establish a medical informatics and data analytics shared resource
- Recruit, manage and grow a world-class team to rapidly accelerate discovery in cancer research and precision oncology
- Guide educational program development in the nascent area of precision oncology

Minimum Qualifications:
- MD, PhD, or equivalent with experience in biomedical informatics, biostatistics, computer science, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related discipline.
- At least 10 years of biomedical informatics and data science experience, with an emphasis in cancer research, biomedical informatics, biostatistics, data science, epidemiology, or precision oncology
- Established leadership credentials and novel research
