The Department of Public Health Sciences (DPHS) and the Hollings Cancer Center (HCC), a National Cancer Institute-designated center at the Medical University of South Carolina, seek an outstanding biostatistician with a track record of peer-reviewed, cancer-focused research and funding and strong leadership skills to serve as the Director of the HCC Biostatistics Shared Resource (BSR). Qualified applicants will be considered for a tenure track Associate or Full Professor position in the Department of Public Health Sciences, College of Medicine.
BSR is composed of highly qualified biostatisticians with complementary expertise in statistical methods relevant to cancer research housed together in newly renovated space at the HCC. BSR provides the HCC research community with outstanding support in the design, conduct, and analysis of clinical trials and cancer-related basic, translational, and population studies. BSR personnel develop novel methodological approaches to address emerging analytic challenges, ensure the use of state-of-the-art statistical methods, and enhance the quality of science in the HCC.
