Abstract
In 2018 the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine released a report – Sexual Harassment of Women: Climate, Culture, and Consequences in Academic Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. The report was a call to action, and our community has continued the discussion in formal and informal settings. This October webinar will focus on our Next Steps. We will discuss how we might use the resources provided by the Societies Consortium on Sexual Harassment in STEMM and describe opportunities for Bystander and Ally training to give us the skills and knowledge to take action in preventing sexual harassment and to be a supportive community. Through this webinar, we hope to identify and support opportunities for local initiatives as well as potential Caucus initiatives. The format of the webinar is participatory so we will begin with a brief overview presentation followed by a conversation with all the participants actively contributing.
