The Health Policy Statistics Section (HPSS) is soliciting interested volunteers, as well as nominations of individuals, to lead discussions in Roundtables at the 2021 Joint Statistical Meetings (JSM) from Aug 7 – 12 2021. Roundtables are fee event activities at JSM. HPSS will pay for Roundtable leaders' roundtable fees. There are two types of roundtables:

1. AM Roundtables: Each Roundtable has a designated topic and discussion leader or speaker. Registrants sign up and pay a fee for the Roundtable discussion, which includes continental breakfast. The HPSS AM Roundtables are scheduled from 7:00am - 8:15am on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
2. PM Roundtables: Each Roundtable has a designated topic and discussion leader or speaker. Registrants sign up and pay a fee for the Roundtable discussion and lunch. The HPSS PM Roundtable luncheons take place Monday, and Tuesday from 12:30 pm-1:50 pm.

Roundtables are limited to a small group of participants (typically no more than 10, including the discussion leader); they are an excellent opportunity for the leader to discuss in depth and at length (with more time than a regular session) important health policy statistics problems with colleagues interested in the Roundtable topic. They do not count against your limit of one presentation, so you can lead a Roundtable and also present in a regular session.

As a discussion leader, you can submit an abstract through the online abstract system https://ww2.amstat.org/meetings/jsm/2021/submissions.cfm before the February 2, 2021, deadline. If you have questions, have an idea for a Roundtable, would like to suggest someone as a discussion leader, or are interested in volunteering yourself as a discussion leader for a Roundtable, you can also send (no later than January 24, 2020) the name and affiliation of the discussion leader and/or brief statement of the topic for the Roundtable to: Mousumi Banerjee, HPSS Program Chair-Elect 2020 (mousumib@umich.edu).
