Please share this announcement with graduate students in your department.
The NISS (National Institute of Statistical Sciences) Graduate Student Network (https://sites.google.com/view/nissgradstudentnetwork) is very excited to announce a two-day graduate student research conference!
This two-day event will take place on June 12 and 13, 2021, from noon - 5 pm ET and will feature graduate student presentations. Students can choose to present either an oral presentation or a poster presentation within the following categories:
- Original Research (their own research work),
- Literature Research (presentation of a published paper that is not authored by the presenter), or
- Literature Review (presentation on recent developments in an area -- this would be a chance to present a couple of papers to highlight recent developments in an area of interest.)
In addition to presentations by graduate students, we will also have a social networking hour and two invited speakers that will discuss "How to present your research?".
Note that NISS affiliates can use their Affiliate Award Funds towards registration, please contact your NISS liaison (https://www.niss.org/affiliates-list) to learn more about these funds.
