On March 1st, Dr. Mark Ward of Purdue will be presenting the webinar Building Undergraduate Programs in Statistics and Data Science.  This is an excellent opportunity to learn about developing undergraduate programs. Having worked with Dr. Ward and his programs personally, I have seen how these programs attract extremely talented students who are highly engaged. The curriculum is up-to-date. Dr. Ward's students are, of course, trained in statistics but also trained to be leaders in their field, including effective communication and project management skills. As a person working in industry still doing some academic research on the side, I can say the program serves both areas well. This webinar will be an excellent opportunity to learn best practices for starting a new undergraduate program or developing an existing one.

    Dear Dr. Corliss,

Thank you so much for the comments and I agree we couldn't find a better person to talk about best practices for starting a new undergraduate program or developing an existing one. Let's all tune in to Mark's webinar on March 1st.

    Best regards,

    --Sujit
