    Dear Colleague,

I hope you all enjoyed JSM2020!
Planning for JSM 2021 is already in progress, and as the Program Chair for Statistical Computing, I am soliciting interest for JSM 2021 short courses on topics at the interface of Statistical and Computational Thinking and within the scope of the Statistical Computing (https://community.amstat.org/jointscsg-section/aboutus/bylawssc). JSM short courses can be a full day or half-day duration, and provide in-depth coverage of a particular area of statistical theory, methodology or application demonstrating the use of computing principles or tools. Both cutting edge and more established topics are welcome. JSM short courses are competitive awards, and include an honorarium. Full proposals are due on September 30th at the JSM 2021 Submission website. Further information can be found at https://ww2.amstat.org/meetings/jsm/2021/ceproposals/index.cfm

The detailed submission guidelines for Short Courses is available here: https://ww2.amstat.org/meetings/jsm/2021/pdfs/JSM2021-CECourseProposalGuide.pdf

Would you or someone you know be interested in submitting a JSM 2021 short course proposal? If so, please send an abstract for your proposed course to Pradeep.Mohan at sas.com by Friday September 14th, 2020.

Our section will evaluate the course proposals received by this deadline internally and decide which proposals will be recommended for submission to ASA. Proposal authors will be informed in a timely fashion of the outcome of this evaluation so they can make arrangements to submit their course proposals to ASA by the September 30th, 2020 deadline.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
