Applications are invited for a full-time tenured/tenure-track faculty Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level in Actuarial Science position with the Department of Mathematics. The University of Illinois has one of the leading undergraduate actuarial science programs in the country. Candidates are sought to help build on this record of excellence as commensurate programs for graduate education and research in Actuarial Science are developed.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Actuarial Science or related areas such as Statistics, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or another subject appropriate for Actuarial Science. Candidates with superior qualifications who will complete all the Ph.D. requirements within the first appointment year may be appointed at the rank of Instructor. After the Ph.D. requirement is met, the appointment will be changed to Assistant Professor.
