    The Arnold School of Public Health, University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC seeks qualified candidates for tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidates will join health scientists in a large, rapid-learning health system in Greenville, SC, developing a program of applied population health, health services, community-clinical linkages, and implementation science research. There is 1 open tenure-track faculty position in epidemiology, 1 in biostatistics, and 1 in health promotion/health behavior. Postdoctoral experience in research and success in obtaining competitive grants is preferred as is experience conducting research in a clinical setting. Each successful candidate will be stationed in Greenville, SC, and will hold a tenure-track appointment at the assistant or associate professor level in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics or Department of Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior depending on research focus, and will develop and lead a program of competitively funded research. An affiliate faculty appointment with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine-Greenville is possible depending on research and teaching interests.

    Qualifications: Earned doctoral degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, health promotion/health behavior, or closely related discipline, a promising record of original research on health and healthcare system issues, a commitment to quality teaching, and demonstrated ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team are required. Successful candidates will have clinically relevant research experience and partnerships with healthcare systems. Evidence or promise of obtaining competitive external funding is essential.

    Responsibilities: Collaborate with colleagues in Greenville and Columbia on research activities related to clinically- driven, population health, and health care delivery issues, and initiate and develop a funded research program relevant to rapid-learning health delivery systems. In addition, the successful candidate will teach relevant courses as part of departmental duties, expand relationships with local public health and healthcare organizations for graduate student training; advise students and post-doctoral fellows; and perform service to the University, profession, and community.

    Salary: Commensurate with experience.
