Salary £34576 to £46414 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
The Transitional Assistant Professor in Data Science/Statistics, jointly funded for the first four years by the Horizon Digital Economy Research Institute
and the School of Mathematical Sciences, provides a pathway to a permanent academic position for an early career researcher. In the first year
the fellow is expected to concentrate on research within Horizon, with a minimal teaching load, while by the fourth year the workload is
evenly distributed between research within Horizon and teaching in the School of Mathematical Sciences. At the end of the four years, the
fellow will become a permanent member of staff within the School of Mathematical Sciences.
