Happenings around the community:
Byran Smucker introduced the Section on Physical and Engineering Sciences' Industrial Statistics Virtual Collaboratory.
Jyoti Rayamajhi announced two upcoming webinars sponsored by the Section for Statistical Programmers and Analysts.
The ASA's new(-ish!) science policy fellow, Amy Nussbaum, introduced herself and asked about standardized test re-norming. She also shared some opportunities from COSSA.
Six more members shared their historical heroes in the ongoing conversation "Who are your historical heroes? (If you haven't contributed, feel free to add your heroes to the list! ASA members' heroes are running the gamut from ancient to modern.)
The JSM 2016 discussion group is now open! Check it out if you have under-enrolled events you'd like to promote, want to arrange ride- or room-sharing, would like to introduce yourself, want to share tips for newcomers...It's the place for anything JSM 2016!
