Are you planning on going to JSM this year?
Have you been to several already, but still remember the confusion of being a first-timer? Would you like to help them?
Consider being a JSM Docent! This will be the third year of this program, which was one of David Morganstein's Presidential Initiatives. It is a program intended to help anyone (mostly first timers) navigate JSM and not feel overwhelmed by the enormity of it! We ask little of the DOCENTS. Specifically:
1. Try to attend the JSM First Timers Reception on Sunday at 12:30 (Come at 12:00 so we can "orient" the Docents!). Lead a table discussion at that lunch - mostly sharing your experiences in getting the most out of the conference.
2. Wear a JSM DOCENT ribbon throughout the conference to let people know you are friendly and open to conference-related questions.
3. Attend a Docent Reception on Wednesday to share your ideas on how to make the program better for next year's JSM.
