The HDDA-VI: The Sixth International Workshop on the Perspectives on High-Dimensional Data Analysis will be held on May 25–27, 2016 at Fields Institute, Toronto, Ontario, Canada http://www.fields.utoronto.ca/activities/15-16/HDDA. The previous annual HDDA workshops were held Toronto, ON (2011), Montreal, QC (2012), Vancouver, BC (2013), Banff, AB (2014) and Victoria, BC (2015).
The HDDA series has now become a well-established tradition and one of the most visible annual events in North America on cutting edge methodology for high dimensional data and its applications in a broad range of studies, from environmental sciences to cybersecurity to fMRI imaging. The HDDA-VI keynote speakers will be Jianqing Fan, Princeton University, USA, and Kjell Doksum, University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA.
With the sponsorship of NSF, grants for partial travel support are now available to encourage participation of the US based students, early career researchers and participants from underrepresented groups in STEM. (These groups include women, African Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans, Alaska Natives, Pacific Islanders and people with disabilities.)
Applicants should submit a CV, one recommendation letter, and a letter explaining how they will benefit from attending HDDA-VI and how receiving a travel award will help. Those letters should be emailed directly to Yulia R. Gel: ygl@utdallas.edu.
