Dear colleagues,
Last summer I posted that I'm writing a book for a popular audience about the use and misuse of statistics, to be published by Penguin Random House next year. It will called A FIELD GUIDE TO LIES, and it was inspired by "How To Lie With Statistics" by Leon Huff. Many of you offered me examples which I've incorporated into the book.
I'd like to invite my ASA colleagues to read an advance copy of the book with an aim toward soliciting your feedback and expertise on how to make it better and to correct any errors prior to publication. (All contributions will be acknowledged of course.)
Email me at daniel.levitin@gmail.com and I'll be happy to send you a draft.
Thank you for your collegiality,
Daniel Levitin
