I'm writing with several updates for those of you working in precision medicine and related topics:

    1. The NIH Precision Medicine Initiative Working Group Public has updated the agenda for its workshop, Participant Engagement and Health Equity Workshop: http://www.nih.gov/precisionmedicine/workshop-20150701.htm. The workshop, which will be webcast, "will focus on the design of an inclusive cohort, building and sustaining public trust, direct-from-participant data provision, and effective and active participant engagement characteristics of a national research cohort of one million or more volunteers."
    2. The NIH Precision Medicine Initiative Working Group Public has released a summary of its May 28-29 workshop, Digital Health Data in a Million-Person Precision Medicine Initiative Cohort: http://www.nih.gov/precisionmedicine/workshop-20150528.htm
    3. We have finalized the ASA one-pager on statistics and precision medicine: http://www.amstat.org/policy/pdfs/PrecisionMedicineOnePager.pdf. Thanks to all those who contributed.
    4. This following blog entry lists the many JSM sessions/talks on personalized medicine and related topics: http://community.amstat.org/blogs/steve-pierson/2015/06/11/sessions-on-personalized-medicine-at-the-2015-joint-statistical-meetings (let me know if I missed any)

    Best,

    Steve
