The "Statistics in Business Schools Interest Group" (SIBSIG), is an interest group within the American Statistical Association (ASA) and an outgrowth of the organization "Making Statistics More Effective in Schools of Business" (MSMESB), founded in the 1970's as a special interest group within the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI). The two groups work closely together to promote modern developments in statistics within business schools.
Recent developments in business analytics provide an exciting opportunity for teaching statistics to students in business-related fields. To better understand these developments, we request your participation in a short survey to assess the current landscape of interest in and courses offered in business analytics/data science in the current curriculum at higher education institutions
The fifteen question survey is approved by the Duquesne University Internal Review Board. Participation in this study will require approximately 8 to 12 minutes. Results from this survey will be summarized and shared to assist those considering curricular changes in the midst of increased focus on big data, data analytics and data science. Should you have any questions about this study, please contact the researchers, Amy Phelps at phelpsa@duq.edu or Kathryn Szabat at szabat@lasalle.edu.

We believe that this survey will provide important information leading to the healthy growth of statistics in business education as we seek to persuade deans and other decision-makers of the research potential of this subject matter. Please find 12 minutes or less to complete the survey.
