Cook Research Incorporated (West Lafayette, Indiana) is currently accepting applications for a Statistician to become a part of our growing Biostatistics team.
The Statistician will interact with Statistical Programmers, Regulatory Scientists, Clinical Scientists, Clinical Study Project Managers, Data Management, Scientific Writers, IT, Engineers and other personnel to provide statistical support in the areas of clinical study design and analysis, case report form development, manuscript preparation, SAS programming and program validation, and consulting on statistical methods in the areas of experimental design, data visualization techniques, quality control, and general data analysis.
In addition to general consultation activities, the successful candidate will take the primary statistical role on a number of clinical studies by providing study design expertise via protocol development, review of case report forms, selection of endpoints, sample size calculations, and the development and execution of statistical analysis plans. These efforts must meet company objectives while satisfying all regulatory, GCP, and ICH requirements and guidelines.
The ideal candidate must exhibit strong leadership capabilities and be able to support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate can communicate effectively within a multi-disciplinary project team to assess priorities and complete tasks on time. Attention to detail, quality and accuracy are essential.
The candidate should have a master's degree or Ph.D. in statistics or biostatistics, with a strong background in clinical applications and SAS programming. Experience in a regulated clinical research environment is preferred.
