The Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health is one of three inaugural departments defining the new School of Population and Global Health. The Department has a tradition of excellence in population and clinical research spanning 57 years. Currently, the Department consists of 55 full-time academic staff members as well as over 170 associate and adjunct members. The collective research program is strongly linked with other basic, clinical and social science departments, as well as clinical research groups and institutions at the McGill-affiliated hospitals. The Department has eight highly active and in-demand graduate educational programs including a residency program, and currently supports a student population of 290 graduate and post-graduate trainees. Building on this foundation, the Department is well-positioned to provide continued leadership to an array of population and global health research, education and service challenges as part of the new School of Population and Global Health.
