Dear Committee on Applied Statisticians,

Thank you for an exceptional year in 2012! 

With your active contributions we were able to
* submit a member initiative proposal
* sponsor or support FOUR JSM2012 sessions
* sponsor and organize a roundtable discussion at JSM2012
* host social mixer at JSM2012
* draft a microsite (which ASA is now encouraging other committees to do)
* participate in the planning/organizing of Conference on Statistical Practice
* maintain email connection with Friends of CAS
* continue working to find authors for Master's Notebook
* participate in President Initiatives
* win invited session for JSM2013

If you have the opportunity to do so I would encourage you all to document your participation and leadership on this committee within your end of year accomplishments.

This is my final year on the committee.  Next year you will be in Amarjot's quite capable hands.  It has been my honor and priviledge to work with you, learn from you, and succeed with you.  Thank you very much for this opportunity.
