Company Information: The Departments of Psychiatry and Biostatistics at Columbia University, and the New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI), are recruiting one or more biostatistics faculty members.  The appointee will hold an inter-disciplinary faculty appointment in the Departments of Psychiatry and Biostatistics at Columbia University, and will be a member of the Division of Biostatistics in Psychiatry and NYSPI. 

 
Position Title: Assistant/Associate/Full Professor

Duties & Responsibilities:
The appointee will perform the following functions:  provide biostatistical support for collaborations with investigators in the Columbia Psychiatry Department and NYSPI (http://columbiapsychiatry.org/); conduct research and seek grant funding in biostatistical methods relevant to applications in psychiatry; provide services in teaching, training and mentoring functions; and provide services in administrative committees.

 
Position Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in biostatistics, statistics, or a related discipline; a record of independent and collaborative research; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and an interest in developing and applying statistical methods to important problems in psychiatric research.It is desirable but not required for the candidate to have expertise in one or more of the following areas: clinical trials including adaptive designs, survival analysis, latent variable modeling, causal modeling, high-dimensional data analysis or statistical genetics.
