Programmer's Corner

Long time, I have been thinking to have a place for statistical programmers to share their programming life. Now, we have a section under ASA, focusing on programming and statistical analysis. I think it is a great opportunity to form a corner for statistical programmers to share their programming experiences. Looking around the publication societies, you do not find so many professional journals on programming. Journal of Statistical Software (JSS) might be the only one. However, JSS is more intended to software innovations - not so useful for ordinary programmers. Software vendors, large or small, have their newslinks and technique supports, which could be really useful for a specified problem, but less helpful on general programming techniques. In the long run, I hope we can introduce some platforms for statistical programmers to exchange their experiences through our section.
