July 1, 2022 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the first mathematical and statistical organizations within the National Institute of Standards and Technology (fka the National Bureau of Standards). To commemorate this, NIST has organized a three-day online symposium this week (6/28-6/30) featuring historical reflections, assessments of the impact of NIST work, presentations of current work, and examples of areas of future growth. In addition to direct stakeholders, this event should be of interest to colleagues at other institutions engaged in research in applied mathematics and statistics and those interested in the history of science and technology. This event is free and open to all, but does require registration. More information is available here. Hope to see you there!------------------------------
