You may recall that Andreas Georgiou was facing complicated charges that he had deliberately inflated the Greek deficit figures as part of a conspiracy to produce austerity and justify a bailout. The CSFHR has never bought any of that (nor has the world statistical community, which regarded the corrections Georgiou as essential fixes to previously inaccurate figures). The EU's official statistics bureau accepts his figures -- it wasn't so sure of the previous ones!
In any case, the felony charges against Georgiou were dropped. Only misdemeanor charges remain.
