Dear Colleagues,
As part of the New York City Open Data Week, my STAT 3255/5255 class
(Introduction to Data Science) at UConn will present to the public
next Tuesday, March 8, at 3:30 pm ET. Most of the students are
undergraduate. They are excited and working hard. We will have four
group presentations on two NYC Open data sets: NYC motor vehicle
collisions and NYC Department of Buildings job applications. The event
is virtual and free, but registration is needed:
https://2022.open-data.nyc/event/nyc-open-data-case-studies-from-introduction-to-data-science-at-uconn/I'd appreciate your sharing the link with anyone who may be interested.
This is the first time I integrate an open data event into a class.
Comments and suggestions are more than welcome.
Thanks,
Jun Yan
