Two Assistant Professor Positions
The Department of Statistics at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions to begin in September 2020, pending budgetary approval. We encourage candidates from all areas of research to apply. Minimal requirements include having a PhD in statistics or closely related field by September 1, 2020, a strong research agenda, evidence of ability to teach both undergraduate and graduate students, the promise of attracting external funding, and the promise of developing interdisciplinary collaborations.

Two Lecturer Positions
The Department of Statistics at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for two full-time Lecturer positions to begin in September 2020, pending budgetary approval. The position is outside the tenure stream, with the expectation of rolling multiyear contract renewals for the successful lecturer. Minimum qualifications are that candidates should have earned their PhD in Statistics or a closely related discipline by September 2020, have demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate courses, be capable of teaching applied master's courses, and have an interest in innovative instruction. The normal teaching load is three courses each semester. Reductions in teaching may be possible depending on approved non-instructional activities supported by a lecturer.
