The Center for Biostatistics at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York seeks candidates to fill a position in biostatistics at the assistant professor level. Requirements include a doctoral degree in an interdisciplinary, data-driven field, with emphasis in bioinformatics, data science, machine learning or statistics and a primary interest or background in analysis of high-dimensional omics data and machine learning. Additional qualifications include a commitment to teaching excellence, clear potential for independent research, and the ability to contribute to a strong interdisciplinary program in machine learning. We seek a capable and self-motivated individual with proficiency in R and Python, excellent communication skills, both oral and written and a demonstrated ability to interact efficiently with diverse people in a highly multidisciplinary environment.
