This is a fully benefitted, academic year position. The initial appointment is for 2 years with potential for future re-appointment.

Job Description
This position will consist of course instruction for graduate and undergraduate courses in biostatistics, epidemiology and public health which may include an undergraduate-level capstone course, introduction to biostatistics at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and selected undergraduate and graduate electives, the latter determined in consultation with our Curriculum Committee and Chair. Course format will include both in-person instruction as well as online.
Additional position responsibilities will include advising masters and doctoral students enrolled in the MS, MPH, and PHD programs, service on student thesis and dissertation committees, membership on department committees, and school-wide service.
Requirements
- Master's degree in related discipline (e.g., MPH, MS)
- Evidence of college level or university level teaching
- Demonstrated experience in teaching introductory biostatistics at the undergraduate and graduate
- Record of success in modern pedagogical approaches (e.g., flipped classroom, experiential learning, team-based learning).
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Potential for fostering equity and inclusion
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD Degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or equivalent
- Proficiency in R, SAS, and/or Stata
